Requirements

Thorough knowledge of mechanics; considerable knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, and valves
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to a shop working environments.
Working knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, and tools used in modern equipment maintenance.
Skill in operation of necessary tools and equipment
Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical problems with hydraulic components and equipment.
Carry out assigned projects to their completion.
Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.
Lift 30 pounds

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and perform major and minor repair work on hydraulic pumps, motors, valves and other related hydraulic equipment and assemblies.
Operates a variety of hand, electric, and air-driven tools as well as a variety of diagnostic instruments.
Tests, troubleshoots, services and repairs mechanical equipment.
Inspects, adjusts, and replaces necessary parts in the performance of repair and maintenance.
Ability to write-up failure reports and bill of materials (BOMs).
Performs other duties as assigned.
