About The Position

The Pipeline Technician at Enterprise Products is responsible for the operation and maintenance of pipeline assets in the Bossier City, LA area. This role involves ensuring the integrity and functionality of pipeline systems, including valve manifolds, pig launchers, and control stations. The technician will also perform product quality control tests, oversee excavations, and interface with landowners and regulatory agencies. The position requires a strong understanding of pipeline operations and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • VoTech certificate or Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronics or Oil & Gas technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or construction of a hazardous liquid or gas pipeline facility is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the general design and operation of liquid or gas pipelines is required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel are required.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as percentages and ratios is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and knowledge of industry-related maintenance and repair standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, regulators, MOVs, and electronic controls is preferred.
  • Ability to work under potentially stressful and hazardous conditions is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain pipeline assets including valve manifolds, pig launchers, and control stations.
  • Perform maintenance and operation of custody transfer measurement facilities and conduct product quality control tests.
  • Locate pipelines and oversee excavations and line crossings.
  • Launch and receive cleaning pigs and assist with the launch and receiving of smart pigs.
  • Install pipeline markers and conduct routine inspections on right-of-way (ROW).
  • Attend and participate in damage prevention meetings.
  • Interface with landowners and various regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company Operator Qualification Program and perform identified covered tasks.
  • Attend training programs and safety meetings as required.
