Technician, Optical Laboratory
About The Position
Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Optical Laboratory Technician to join our Eye Care team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. Position Summary: Receives, records, and analyzes eyewear prescription orders for accuracy and manufactures ordered eyewear products utilizing various equipment and tools in accordance with department standards. Produces nonstandard surfaced lenses from semi-finished stock to meet prescription order specifications. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. 7:30am to 4:00pm
Requirements
- Good communication skills.
- Good hand dexterity.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
- The incumbent must be able to proficiently utilize the following equipment: optical lab finishing and surfacing equipment; optical equipment and tools; telephone pager; fax machine; photocopier.
- Understand optical lab computer & POS computer relating to orders.
Nice To Haves
- 3 or more years of related experience is preferred.
