Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • 1-3 years of automotive technician experience is required.
  • Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes models, and sizes.
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
  • Tear down, repair, replace, and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
  • Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repairs manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
  • Primary responsibilities will be for used cars.
