About The Position
As a Technician NDI-Lrnr on the 2nd Shift at Textron Aviation, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance to engineering and corporate staff. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the field of nondestructive testing (NDI). You will work under the direct supervision of experienced engineering staff, assisting in compiling technical information, solving problems, and preparing reports based on various procedures and standard practices. Your responsibilities will include researching, computing, charting, plotting, reading, and measuring engineering or test data, which are essential tasks in ensuring the integrity and safety of aviation components. In this role, you will also assist the engineering team in compiling data and preparing engineering reports, which are vital for maintaining high standards in aviation safety and performance. Operating computer equipment to process engineering data will be a significant part of your daily tasks, and you may be required to help prepare engineering data sketches as needed. During your training period, you will have minimal contact with personnel in engineering, focusing on obtaining and furnishing information necessary for your development. Additionally, you will be required to observe a certified Level 2 in NDI for all Accept/Reject decisions, ensuring that you are well-prepared to make informed judgments in your future responsibilities.
