About The Position

This is a hands-on position that provides general maintenance, mechanical and electrical diagnostic, repair and refurb of in-service fire apparatus. This position will interact with dealers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's), vendors and owners of these units.

Requirements

• 1CDL license or willing to obtain.
• Master ASE certifications or willing to acquire within two years.
• Passport or willing to acquire within one month.
• Strong communication skills, verbally and written.
• Minimum of two years production line experience or equivalent combination in a garage operation.
• Knowledge of service department operations and/or proven field service experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to problem solve and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Consistently complete quality diagnostics and repairs.
• Identify and communicate the repair needs of vehicles inspected.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Document cause and corrections for all repairs.
• Ability to work overtime with little or no notice to complete the task at hand.
• Thoroughness in repair procedures.
• Cleanliness of assigned work area.
• Completion of expense reports for travel costs.
• Obtain (or possess) own tools.
• Ability to travel at short notice.
