This position is responsible for performing a variety of mechanical maintenance repairs to support the plant facility. Repairs, installs, replace and tests electrical circuits and equipment. Uses hand tools and testing instruments. Dismantles machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes.

Requirements

  • Education Level: High School diploma or GED
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience working on industrial food manufacturing equipment is required
  • You will be expected to be dependable, resourceful, flexible to business needs, a team player, a good communicator and a person with high integrity.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be adaptable
  • Must have good problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Safety 1 st. Follow all workplace safety rules.
  • Inspects facility equipment daily performing various production startup and coverage tasks.
  • Maintains various plant machines by performing troubleshooting and general maintenance.
  • Trouble shoots any repair-electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic components.
  • Uses electrical schematics and follows verbal instructions to make repairs to ordinary plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Installs and threads pipe, performs soldering and cutting.
  • Assists in the installation of equipment.
  • Cleans and lubricates parts, equipment, and machinery.
  • Follow all SQF principles pertinent to your position as specified by the SQF Practitioner.
  • All food safety and human safety concerns need to be reported to appropriate personnel such as QA technician, Safety Manager, FSQ Manager, etc.
  • Keeps assigned maintenance and storage areas organized and clean .
  • C ommunicate problems or issues to Maintenance leadership to quickly address any concerns about employee or product safety.
