About The Position

Essential Functions Statement(s) • Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times • Assists in creating, designing, developing, and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads. • Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators. • Support and leads workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM). • Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks • Leads and improves preventative maintenance process on the shift, suggesting equipment/part/tooling modifications • Contributes to line commissioning after maintenance/process events • Leads, assists, and participates with other plant projects as needed • Operates in a manner that provides value to the team • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Five to seven years in a similar position
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Forklift certified
  • Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude (test results above 80%)
  • Knowledge of PLC Logic technology required (test results above 70%)
  • Thorough understanding of the TimberTech blending systems (test results above 80%)
  • Meet requirements established by TRAK program
  • Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
  • Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and update electrical/mechanical drawings
  • Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
  • Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Thorough understanding of the TimberTech plant support systems such as blowers, chilled water system and compressor systems working unassisted with occasional assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced education and/or related certification(s) a plus
  • Ohio HVAC or Refrigeration Contractor licenses, Portable fire extinguishers, Backflow Inspection certifications/licenses, and thorough understanding of the TimberTech plant support systems such as blowers, chilled water system and compressor systems working unassisted with minimal assistance.
  • Ohio Automatic sprinklers and standpipe systems, Fire service mains, Fire pumps, Fire alarm and detection equipment certifications, Stick and wire welding experience with passage of a pass/fail welding test. Structural welding certification, a plus
  • Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus
