Installs, repairs and performs skilled licensed maintenance on District HVAC systems (e.g., water and air cooled chillers, cooling towers, and roof top DX AHUs).
Attends training and completes journeyman program according to required hours
Troubleshoots and identifies repairs for refrigeration system and performs repairs or contracts out major chiller repairs; evacuates, reclaims or recycles refrigerant according to EPA guidelines
Repairs and installs HVAC equipment; installs HVAC systems, rigging heavy loads and coordinating with other shop staff; fabricates, repairs, and installs HVAC system fittings, registers, venting, pipe fittings
Diagnoses repairs; modifies and performs repairs using blueprints and schematics and considering building codes and standards
Prepares and cleans up job site, taking into consideration safety concerns of self and others, and disposes of waste and flammable materials
Calibrates and installs pneumatic, electrical, and electronic controls made by different manufacturers
Operates tools and equipment for combustion controls
Reviews work orders, prioritizes, and determine supplies for repair and purchases supplies using District purchase order system
Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade, as an apprentice
Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis and responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
High School Diploma/GED
L2 (Journeyman): Four (4) years experience
Maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards
Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us
