The Technician, IT Enterprise Operations independently performs all aspects of field support including installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of PCs and mechanical equipment in assigned regions. The role interacts with people and develop long-term relationships with their customers. The Technician, IT Enterprise Operations is the first line of contact with end-users.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT environment with troubleshooting skills and networking and hardware problems.
  • Possess a valid Real ID driver's license.
  • Travel 4 times per week by ground and/or air throughout the United States. Up to 90% travel.
  • If hired into a traveling position: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. Driver's license must be verified by completing a background check and motor vehicle check at the time of hire.
  • Required to timely travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day, and must have reliable means of transportation to travel to assigned offices.
  • In lieu of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, must have reliable means of alternate transportation which would allow for required, timely travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day.
  • Travel may be planned or unplanned and is subject to change without notice.

Nice To Haves

  • MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), A+, Network+, or ITIL Certification.
  • Associate degree or higher in related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT environment with troubleshooting skills and networking and hardware problems.
  • Experience in Windows or Citrix.
  • Experience providing end-user phone or hands-on support.
  • Experience in dental, medical, healthcare or retail industry.
  • Understanding and experience with self-managing work and logistics for optimal route to resolve at offices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site service, repair and/or installation of hardware and software throughout assigned region.
  • Assist customers in the diagnosis and resolution of technical and service issues including end-user local-area network access problems, e-mail, Internet, and network or local printer problems.
  • Provide one-on-one end-user problem resolution with remote desktop tools, telephone, and in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop and laptop hardware issues.
  • Install new IT and related equipment and software.
  • Help coordinate timely support and repair of various IT equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
  • Manage assigned help tickets, ensuring maximum issue resolution in minimum time with the end-user needs as the focus.
  • Perform multiple technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
