OVERVIEW This person is primarily responsible for being part of an integration team. Racking and patching network equipment for multiple educational buildings within the five boroughs. The position may require working an alternate 2nd shift 2PM to 10PM, Monday thru Friday. This person must have data center experience, understanding of wire and data management for network equipment. Ability to travel throughout the five boroughs a must. In addition to the network deployment project, and when not involved in an integration, we are engaged in other projects like the deployment desktops, laptops, iPads, and Chromebooks to the schools in both NYC and Long Island. In House work - Prior to deployment team members will be utilized to assist with the prepping of these devices in our warehouse at our CCS headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. Access to a car is preferred. Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000

Requirements

Understanding of networking and wireless equipment installation
Ability to perform patching and cable management
1 -2 years of network integration experience or 1 -2 years of desktop/laptop deployment experience
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled with organization, decision making and time management
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working knowledge of both Windows and Apple Operating Systems
Workstation, Printers setup and other peripheral equipment
Industry certifications (A+, networking, security or CCNA)
Access to a car is preferred. This position requires travel throughout the five boroughs and Long Island.

Responsibilities

Stage network equipment
Racking of Networking equipment
Patching data cables and data cable management
Pre-integration port tracing
Working with a team to complete all integration task including:
Pre-deployment tasks of staging of equipment (unboxing and organizing equipment)
Deployment racking and stacking datacenter equipment
Labeling equipment
Patching equipment
Data cable management
Provide clean and concise progress reporting (written and verbal)
Ensure quality of work
Breakdown of old equipment and prepare for EOL services
Provide documented summations of work assignments including client sign off, punch lists and resolutions
Deployment and setup of desktops, laptops, iPads, and Chromebooks
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
