Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and other equipment. Operates manufacturing equipment and/or distribute material as required by area responsibilities. Performs all duties with strict observance to cGMP's, cSOP's, cGDP's and other internal and external regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation or Mechanics (preferred), eleven (11) years of experience in related areas.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with the immediate supervisor, peers and coworkers.
  • Ability to communicate, read, write and understand English/Spanish languages.

Responsibilities

  • Operates manufacturing machinery as assigned by the immediate supervisor, with the appropriate training.
  • Feed manufacturing machine with raw material to keep production and comply with establish schedule.
  • Must check with the Supervisor the daily schedule to manufacture the correct batch and load.
  • Loads materials when the shift starts, reads manufacturing codes such as: Enhance Closure, blue tips and bags.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Performs and participate in manufacturing general repairs (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic) on production equipment.
  • Install and/or modify new or relocated equipment.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical and electronic issues.
  • Fill out all necessary documentation to comply with Company specifications (SOP's).
  • Performs preventive maintenance work and reports according to established standards.
  • Responsible for equipment and tools to perform daily work.
  • Must keep the work area in the cleanest and ordered conditions.
  • Responsible for the requesting replacement of parts, following up on request in a timely manner for assigned equipment.
  • Capable to read and understand schematics or blue prints.
  • Capable to understand basic programming (PLC, Drive Motors, etc.,) (Windows, emails, computer in general).
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate cause of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines forms and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Replace or repair defective parts.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Perform all tasks in a manner that is consistent with safety trainings.
  • Identifies and requests replacement parts to assist engineers to make purchase orders.
  • Provides technical support to all assigned areas.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Team worked oriented.
  • Able to work extra hours, Holidays (e.g. shutdowns, special projects).
  • Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas.
  • Operates and control all critical equipment per validated parameters.
  • Other related duties with the position may be assigned.
