Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Equipment Technician III to join our FPGA and MSA groups. This position is part of the Microcontroller BU Operations Business Unit, which focuses on testing, probing, and programming, FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) products. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production setups and equipment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical theory and a strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally and solve technical problems.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have good knowledge of semiconductor test equipment and electronics.
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient computer skills, including :Navigating computer folders and file systems. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn quickly through on-the-job training, online courses, and vendor-led training.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Verbal and or written passdowns when needed. Will also need to communicate with production, engineering, planners, and outside vendors.
  • Good judgment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Ability to work as a team player and interface with various groups.
  • Capable of multitasking and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Schedule 12pm – 10:30pm, Friday through Sunday + 1 Other Day (Negotiable) (4 Days, 10 Hours)

Responsibilities

  • Work on daily tasks such as setups, troubleshooting, and temperature verifications of test and programming equipment and workstations for both FPGA and MSA business units.
  • Work closely with TE (Test Engineering), PE (Product Engineering), Production, and ODMG Engineering to resolve issues that arise.
  • Perform task such as: Calibration and Preventive Maintenance on Test Floor and IHP equipment Test Systems (Teradyne J750, Credence D10) Test Handlers (JLSI, Exatron, Delta, Aseco, WTS, Sessco) Probers (TEL, KLA, Accretech) EOL (End of Line) Equipment Silicon Sculptors Actel Flash handlers HCFT (High-Capacity Flash Tester) CATS (Corelis Adapter Test System)
  • Installation of dedicated change kits on test and programming handlers.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs on test, marking, and programming equipment and setups.
  • Document and communicate technical issues and solutions effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Create presentations and reports as needed using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment.
