Ready to shape the future of resilient communities? Verdantas is seeking a skilled Technician II to join our team in the Rancho Cucamonga office. This position offers the opportunity to support a variety of environmental and engineering projects, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative setting. As a Technician II, you will assist with field investigations, data collection, and technical reporting to help deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys hands-on work and is committed to quality and safety. This position will require periodic travel for up to a month at a time at remote job sites, for instance in the High Sierras.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical training preferred
2+ years of experience in environmental, geotechnical, or construction-related fieldwork
Familiarity with field sampling techniques, soil and groundwater testing, and use of field instruments
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting equipment as needed
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection and documentation
Knowledge of health and safety protocols and ability to follow established procedures
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers
Flexibility to travel to project sites and adapt to changing schedules
Will require physical, drug screening, Live Scan.

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials, structures, and systems
Perform inspections and assessments of projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Collect, analyze, and interpret data from tests and inspections
Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findings
Operate and maintain advanced field and laboratory equipment
Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and protocols
Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and team members
Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
Communicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager/Supervisor
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
