The Technician II (Quality Control – HQC) is responsible for ensuring the quality of processes and products in support of all manufacturing areas within Integrated DNA Technologies and upkeeping instrumentation. This position reports to the department Supervisor, is part of High Throughput Quality Control located in Coralville, and will be an on-site role. Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00pm-7:30am

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science related field required. (Biology, Genetics, Chemistry or related life science field preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience (such as an associate’s degree with 2 years of applicable lab experience; HS diploma and 4 years related experience.)
  • Lifting up to 50lbs: raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
  • Walking: moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.

  • Proficiency with computer skills with the ability to accurately use SOPs and work instructions

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes data and information for quality, consistency, and accuracy
  • Use and service a variety of analytical and sample handling equipment
  • Maintain accurate and detailed sample, product and instrument records
