Job Description: We are looking for a Product/Test Technician to test, adjust/tune and troubleshoot prototype & production SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) components and modules. The candidate shall be a self-motivated individual capable of taking responsibility regarding shipping goals, on time delivery, quality control, & continuous improvement. ~ To learn more about our Simsbury facility: Microchip Around the World - Americas: Connecticut ~

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic or product testing
  • Ability to work under a microscope
  • Fine motor skills / hand eye coordination
  • Basic PC skills, math skills, and product knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must possess or be able to obtain (at company’s expense) a Secret level clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in technical field
  • Experience performing RF test and measurement using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, read, and interpret process documentation to perform a variety of automated testing
  • Interpret basic test data to determine pass / fail test results
  • Operate basic test equipment (multi meter) and automated test systems
  • Basic soldering of surface mount components
  • Other duties as assigned
