Job Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Richmond, VA What we are looking for: Install, maintain, and the physical structure of an industrial facility by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with a maintenance ticket system such as FIXX
  • 2+ years in one or more fields of the following; Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical/Machinist, Welding, Pipefitting and HVAC as an industrial maintenance environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional, and at sometimes heavy, overtime and extended hours are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification High School and Trade School or Apprenticeship.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or boom lift.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair the physical structure of the facility.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, electrical and electronic components.
  • Locate parts and prices to effect repairs, complete required forms for purchases.
  • Use the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and associated equipment.
  • Operate a cutting torch and or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Various Saws, drills, bench tools and hand tools.
  • Maintain work area in clean, safe, and orderly manner.
  • Operate forklift or boom lift
  • Other duties as assigned
