About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Technician II – AV is to skillfully operate all AV Systems and equipment as well as coordinate and arrange AV services and serve as the onsite AV point person. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental, Wind Creek Bethlehem LLC (“Wind Creek”) and PGCB policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form.
  • Interpersonal skills with focused attention on guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to the Wind Creek appearance standards.
  • Maintain consistent adherence to the Wind Creek Customer Service Standards.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have at least 5 years experience with Entertainment and Audio Visual equipment including but limited to Yamaha Digital Live sound reinforcement consoles, Grand MA, Color Kinetics and I-Color computer based DMX programmable Lighting Control systems, ETC or Equivalent Dimming Systems, Magenta Research Video control systems including Q-SYS Audio Video Control System knowledge.- Mondo and Gefen Video Extender Systems, and a working knowledge of computer based image projection in a Hospitality/Meeting Room environment.
  • Must be proficient at operating different styles of sound mixing, lighting consoles and video projection units.
  • Must have an understanding of Basic Stage electrical power applications.
  • Must understand and abide by industry standard of show operation and show proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members and outside contacts including talent and crew for shows.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and team synergy skills along with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of exercising sound judgment and find effective solutions.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with guests in a congenial and polite manner. Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
  • Physical ability to access all areas of the property.
  • Work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, variations in weather.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to frequently move freely about the office, maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers etc.
  • Withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, able to push and/or pull 200 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to qualify for and obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board License.
  • NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN PREFERENCE IN HIRING POLICY SHALL BE ADHERED TO AT ALL TIMES.

Responsibilities

  • Operates all Audio-Visual equipment consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes
  • Provides ongoing maintenance tasks within areas of operation while adhering to operational guidelines set forth by management or team leader.
  • Provides ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology and processes to ensure Wind Creek’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
  • Serve as onsite AV point person
  • Oversee resources to proactively ensure high quality service while striving for continuous improvement.
  • Ensures divisional/departmental compliance with Wind Creek customer service standards.
  • Properly use equipment, tools or systems to complete assigned tasks and complies with company safety standards.
  • Complete all paperwork in accordance with PGCB and approved Wind Creek standards.
  • Ensures compliance with Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board internal controls.
  • Read and understand the Wind Creek Compulsive and Problem Gambling Plan with regards to how to conduct business in this position and specifically the regulations prohibiting service to minors and/or intoxicated persons.
  • Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers in compliance with the Wind Creek’ customer service standards.
  • Adhere to and complies with both departmental and overall property policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with departmental and overall property policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.
