About The Position

In this role as a Technician I executes FAC product manufacturing and systems business requirements by performing assembly and systems integration with a strong work ethic and keen attention to detail. This role applies technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and computer systems, along with comprehensive product knowledge, to deliver customer orders that meet established FAC quality standards and customer expectations. How It’s Done Technicians may work on mechanical sub-assemblies, such as turrets, arms, wrists, robots, cable installation, cable catrac and rail assemblies for P-series product that meet Manufacturing Production Plans, standards, and Engineering Specifications/Guidelines  Manufacturing Productivity – Daily technicians must know work schedule and meet the schedule requirements Quality Inspection – Ensure product and workmanship meets FAC standards. Verify assembly and test results data is complete and within defined ranges as needed Care of Tooling/Equipment – Proper care and use of FAC tools and compliance with Tool Management Procedure Consistently achieves high quality when working on Product assembly, modification, and/or system integration from documentation. (prints, illustration, and schematics) Consistently meets/exceeds routings, MPP’s, project budgets and delivery dates Ability to understand and support corporate objects (OMQ) Follow all defined process steps, document all in process checks, review work and check list for completeness before signing off Display workmanship that meets process demand (including FAC standard, Customer specification, and/or appropriate industrial standards) Lay-out, set-up and secure robots and associated equipment Engineer releases or Manufacturing Control plans) Troubleshooting or debugging technical problems Repair, rework, or retrofit of product and equipment Disassembly and preparation of FAC products and Systems for shipment Accurate and timely information entered in the Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) Proper care and use of FAC tools and compliance with Tool Management Procedure (check-out and return FAC tooling daily) Compliance with all FAC Robot Safety Procedures. (Including, but not limited to, Haz Mat, Lock out tag out and RSIS robot safety Computer awareness. (Email, OTL, MPP) Basic Math Skills. (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction, metric) Limited travel may be requested Ability to work overtime as business requires A second shift may be required to meet production demands

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year experience in a related field
  • Expertise in configuring complex automation systems
  • Proficiency in advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Leadership and project management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards
  • Effective communication and people skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced coursework or specialization in automation systems design and troubleshooting
