About The Position

Are you mechanically inclined or tech-savvy and looking to build a career in electronics manufacturing? We’re seeking motivated individuals with basic mechanical or machine aptitude who are eager to learn and grow with hands-on training—no prior SMT or electronics experience required! The Technician I – Manufacturing (SMT Operator) plays a key role in operating and supporting machinery used in the assembly of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). You'll work with a team to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or mechanical environment preferred, but not required.
  • Technical training, mechanical coursework, or related hands-on experience is a plus.
  • No prior experience in electronics manufacturing required training will be provided for candidates with the right aptitude.
  • Basic mechanical or machine operation aptitude (comfortable working with tools or machinery).
  • Willingness to learn technical processes and follow detailed instructions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training, mechanical coursework, or related hands-on experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated manufacturing equipment such as solder paste printers, reflow ovens, inspection tools, and other machinery used in the SMT process.
  • Set up machines, load basic programs, and perform routine maintenance to keep production running smoothly.
  • Monitor production flow and perform basic inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving simple equipment or process issues with guidance from senior technicians or engineers.
  • Follow written instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures to support accurate component placement and assembly.
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Work closely with team members to improve efficiency and processes over time.
  • Follow all company safety and quality policies.
