Essential job functions include, but are not limited to: Perform shoreline and waterway maintenance activities, including removal of trash, debris, and navigational hazards. Assist with the installation, retrieval, and maintenance of navigational and hazard markers. Support removal and disposal of abandoned or unsafe shoreline structures in accordance with established procedures. Operate boats, vehicles, and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks. Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of equipment and machinery operation.
  • Understanding of boating safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established work processes.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments.
  • Minimum High School diploma or GED required, vocational or trade school preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience with 1 year operating a boat and 1 year operating heavy equipment or combined experience preferred.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident, required.
  • Valid Oklahoma (or state of residence) Class A Commercial Driver’s License, or ability to obtain Class A Commercial Driver’s License within 1 year
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to stand and walk on uneven ground, slippery surfaces.
  • Must be able to swim.
  • Must be able to lift, move and carry weights of 50 lb. on a regular basis.
  • Boating on river/lake 6- 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to perform work outdoors in all types of weather.

Nice To Haves

  • State approved boating safety course strongly preferred.
