About The Position

Neogen is looking for a Packaging Technician to join our Lansing Michigan team. Our Production Technicians work closely with team members to inspect label, and package manufactured products. Shift Schedule Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm

Requirements

• Report to work daily and on-time for scheduled workdays and shift times
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Committed to working and communicating in a team environment
• Must communicate effectively with others by speaking, reading, and understanding written English and the ability to write legibly in English.
• Preform basic arithmetic daily
• High school diploma, GED equivalent or applicable experience in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Preference will be given to candidates who possess experience working in packaging/shipping or quality control.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time, while maintaining attention to detail
• Work as a team player to assist where needed
• Perform tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure accuracy and quality
• Use good manufacturing procedures (GMP) and good documentation practices (GDP) in the packaging of all products
• Maintains the general cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Utilizes Good Documentation Processes (GDP) to identify and record the amount of finished product per batch
• Preform and document through inspection of manufactured products.
• Other Duties as assigned.
