About The Position

The principal accountability of the position is to support all general production activities. This includes setting equipment up for production, any necessary cleaning, monitoring the filling process of the finished product, and final packaging for distribution. This position will also support any other production activities as required by the Lead, Production Supervisor or the Manufacturing Manager. The work schedule for this position is a 2-2-3 schedule (12 hour day shifts) from 6am-6:30pm.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent requirement
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience (food manufacturing preferred)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to safely operate a tow motor
  • Works in accordance with, and supports, company Standard Operating Procedures as outlined in the HACCP, SSOP and Quality manuals
  • Reliable, dependable, with a “team player” orientation
  • Willingness to be flexible on working hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Willingness to speak up and review problems with supervisor in order to determine best course of action, offering suggestions and providing clear communication of the problem
  • Demonstrated verbal communication skills to be effective

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the requirements for sanitary filling of product into various containers
  • Understand all packaging and labeling requirements for products
  • Supporting production processes from set-up of equipment to the filling process
  • Any necessary cleaning before, during, or after production of a batch
  • Any necessary packaging for final distribution of product
  • Understand all associated regulations and procedures, including USDA policies and allergen compliance
  • Adhere to all safety standards
  • Set-up and operate production and automated packaging equipment
  • Understand all equipment capabilities and production procedures
  • Maintain product segregation and lot/batch management
  • Understand and safely perform proper cleaning procedures, following SSOP guidelines
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and thoroughly per procedures
  • Maintain clean, organized and safe working environment
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
