About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the efficient troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment across production, warehouse, refrigeration, and wastewater areas. This role supports facility projects including machinery installation, setup, and removal, ensuring operational efficiency and minimal downtime. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, is required to meet production demands.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • At least 2 years of electrical/PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, technical documents, and maintenance manuals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic including fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret multi-meters, blueprints, and electrical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced and cold environments with a high level of reliability and accountability.
  • Frequent standing for extended periods.
  • Regular lifting/moving of objects up to 10 lbs. occasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks in various facility conditions.
  • MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial maintenance certification from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs on facility equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in machinery across manufacturing and warehouse operations.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, electrical schematics, and work orders accurately.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues to minimize equipment and facility downtime.
  • Contribute to the improvement of production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements including USDA, FDA, OSHA, EPA, and company policies.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
