Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is a leading North American provider of midstream energy services, specializing in the transportation, storage, and processing of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals. The I&E Technician role is critical in ensuring the functionality and reliability of electronic and electrical equipment within the organization. This position involves modifying, repairing, and overhauling various electronic and electrical systems, applying a deep understanding of electronics principles to diagnose and rectify equipment malfunctions. The technician will be responsible for installing instrumentation and electrical components safely, troubleshooting control systems, and maintaining complex equipment associated with various operational processes, including reciprocating compressors and generators. In addition to hands-on technical work, the I&E Technician will maintain and troubleshoot Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), ensuring optimal use of control technology while minimizing costs. The role requires the ability to read and interpret P&ID and electrical diagrams, update electrical drawings, and perform preventative maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment. The technician will also provide training and technical support to other team members and may be required to support multiple locations as needed. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively under potentially stressful conditions, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical demands include the ability to lift heavy equipment, work at various heights, and operate in diverse weather conditions. The role may also require call-outs and overtime, with a commitment to maintaining safety and operational excellence.
