About The Position

The position involves following all company safety and quality procedures while performing various tasks related to valve components. The employee will be responsible for cleaning, blasting, and painting valve components, as well as returning valves and parts to their proper bins and boxes. The role requires operating equipment such as overhead hoists, blasters, parts washers, and torches. Additionally, the employee may need to disassemble valves without damaging parts according to the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual and document job data into applicable databases. Maintaining a clean and organized work area and equipment is essential, and the employee may also assist in field assignments, climb and work at various elevations, and operate a motor vehicle. Attendance at job and safety training is necessary as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Current or up-to-date TWIC (preferred)
• Current Basic OSHA Safety Training (preferred)
• Job specific degree and/or certification (preferred)
• Safety and quality-minded
• Basic mechanical aptitude including, but not limited to, basic hand and power tool knowledge
• Basic computer knowledge
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Demonstrate effective time management skills
• Ability to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
• Must clear background check and drug/alcohol screening

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and quality procedures
• Certified to operate Forklift
• Cleaning, blasting, and painting valve components
• Return Valves/Parts to Proper Bins, Boxes, etc.
• Operate equipment (overhead hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch, etc.)
• Disassemble valve without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual
• Document and enter job data into applicable database and document photos
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Maintain equipment in area, as required
• Help in field assignments as required
• Climb and work at various elevations depending on job scope
• Operate motor vehicle as required
• Attend job and safety training, as necessary or required
