About The Position

This role is for an AccuMeasure Field Technician, where individuals will be trained in the Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance testing industry. Technicians will be responsible for testing and calibrating meters on jobsites, performing minor repairs to fueling systems, and compiling reports for the Department of Agriculture and clients. The position encourages applicants with mechanical aptitude and a willingness to travel throughout the United States. Full training is provided to enable independent operation and state licensing. After training, technicians will work independently, offering a degree of freedom and control over their tasks. This position is ideal for motivated, honest, and accountable individuals, with opportunities for advancement to a foreman role, managing a work crew.

Requirements

  • Must have a mechanical background along with a history of working with hand tools.
  • Can lift 10-50lbs as well as frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate well.
  • Basic knowledge of technology – tablet/phone/computer – for documentation.
  • Must be willing to travel in a multi-state area, in some cases being away from home days/weeks (hotels and a generous per diem is provided).
  • Must be able to pass a company paid DOT physical & drug screen and possess a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in trades, and/or experience in any industrial/commercial settings a plus.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, safety, and technical protocols a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision meter calibration services for our retail petroleum customers and minor maintenance on these systems.
  • Assisting the foreman with equipment set up.
  • Site preparation.
  • Meter calibrations.
  • Minor gas station maintenance.
  • Driving a company-owned motor vehicle (CDL not required).
