About The Position

The position involves performing a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance trades for the repair and improvement of District facilities, with a focus on the maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment and electrical systems. The role requires routine maintenance and repair of district building systems, including HVAC and Low-temp refrigeration equipment, electrical, plumbing, and designated special systems.

Requirements

• Prefer high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Prefer completion of refrigeration apprenticeship.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in maintenance and repair of Heating Ventilation Air Condition (HVAC) systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the functions and maintenance requirements of chilled water systems, cooling towers, boilers, fan coils, packaged units and heat pumps.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and repair of district building systems including HVAC and Low-temp refrigeration equipment, electrical, plumbing and designated special systems.
• Provides guidance and training to site-based maintenance staff in the performance of minor maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical and plumbing fixtures and equipment.
• Performs renovation/construction projects as needed.
• Performs and maintain records of routine preventative maintenance tasks according to the District's School Facility Board Preventative Maintenance Plan.
• Attends necessary meetings and trainings related to the position.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Accepts direction and training from Maintenance Worker III, HVAC/Electrical.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
