About The Position
This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of food equipment in Walmart stores, contributing to overall store performance and customer satisfaction. The position involves diagnosing and repairing commercial food equipment, developing and adhering to preventative maintenance schedules, and training Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning. Key responsibilities also include managing work orders and maintenance logs, ensuring the safety and proper functionality of all serviced equipment, and understanding and limiting the risk of cross-contamination in food production areas. Success in this role is measured by reduced maintenance and repair expenses, ensured equipment safety, effective training of Store Associates, accurate documentation, high customer satisfaction, and adherence to food safety standards.
Requirements
- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade OR 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
- License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
- Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
