About The Position

As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart, you will be responsible for executing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of the store's facilities, equipment, and fixtures. This role involves working under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager and adhering to established maintenance schedules and guidelines. You will conduct inspections, perform repairs, and respond to emergency maintenance calls in a fast-paced and welcoming work environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move up and down ladders frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various temperatures.
• Must maintain an excellent driving record.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience in plumbing, electrical, or related trade, or 2 years total work experience in a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
• License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
• Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
