About The Position

A Commercial Journeyman Licensed Service Plumber installs, repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots plumbing systems in commercial and industrial facilities. The role involves ensuring all plumbing work meets state and local codes, company standards, and safety regulations while providing efficient, high-quality service to clients. Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians! You will make an impact as a maintenance technician by diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our Walmart stores! You will be responsible to develop preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned PMs in the timeframe outlined, as well as conduct training for Store Associates regarding care and cleaning of equipment.

Requirements

3 years' experience in maintenance
Hold a valid state-issued driver's license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Valid Journeyman Plumber License Arkansas
Minimum 3-5 years of plumbing experience, with emphasis on commercial repair and maintenance.
Proven ability to diagnose and clear drain line clogs (2″-6″ lines preferred).
Strong understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and blueprint reading.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Have previous experience in maintenance (including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, etc.)

Responsibilities

Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment)
Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality
Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs, etc.)
Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures in commercial buildings.
Diagnose and repair drain line clogs using augers, hydro jetting, and other drain-cleaning equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and recommend solutions to reduce future plumbing issues.
Troubleshoot plumbing problems in restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and utility areas.
Repair and replace sinks, toilets, urinals, faucets, water heaters, and backflow devices.
Interpret and apply Arkansas Plumbing Code (2018) and applicable U.S. plumbing standards.
Collaborate with facility managers, contractors, and supervisors to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
Complete detailed work orders, service reports, and document repairs performed.
Follow OSHA and company safety policies, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Provide emergency on-call plumbing services as required.
