About The Position

The Technician – Facility Maintenance 1 is responsible for maintaining and improving the interior and exterior of all buildings, assisting in setting rooms for meetings and events and assisting the administration team when needed.What your day will look like: Perform preventative maintenance procedures to all buildings. example: painting, repairing sheetrock, painting fire lanes and curbs exterior and interior, replacing ceiling tiles, replacing light bulbs and ballast as needed, pressure washing entrance ways and blowing clean walkways Ensuring the facility and equipment is maintained to optimal level, troubleshoot, and diagnose facility needs and perform corrective action, maintain a clean and orderly storage area and worksite Audit and maintain eye wash stations and emergency exit signs Picking up and delivering supplies and uniforms as needed Setting up tables and chairs in conference rooms – setting rooms for events Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Effective interpersonal relationship skills, written and verbal communication skills, organization, planning and an attention to detail
  • High level of energy and professionalism
  • Must be able to work and perform independently without constant supervision
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, pressure washers, and hand and power tools
