About The Position

The Electrical Technician at CECO Environmental is responsible for the assembly, wiring, testing, and operation of Direct Contact Water Heating Systems. This role requires reading blueprints and wiring diagrams while learning the fundamentals of combustion and water heating technology. The technician will work with both low and high voltage systems and must demonstrate mechanical assembly skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade or Technical School Degree preferred.
• Good mechanical skills and basic math skills.
• Experience in building industrial electrical control panels.
• Ability to read assembly prints and procedures.
• Understanding of schematic drawings.
• Punctual and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• PLC programming and understanding of ladder logic.
• Knowledge of combustion technology and experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and test Direct Contact Water Heating Systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Mount components and wire according to specifications.
• Wire control panels to motors, blowers, burners, and other devices for testing.
• Complete testing protocols and fill out applicable paperwork after measuring for Factory Acceptance Test criteria.
• Troubleshoot and test control panels.
