About The Position

The Technician, Desktop Support at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is responsible for providing technical support for computers, peripherals, and applications to both corporate and remote locations. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving desktop issues, supporting conference room A/V systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in IT infrastructure and network engineering. The position emphasizes strong customer service and problem-solving skills, contributing to the company's mission of making hotel travel possible for all.

Requirements

  • Current CompTIA A+ certification
  • Microsoft Support certification required - MCSA, MCSE, MCITP
  • 5-8 years of experience within the Information Technology field, providing advanced support of desktops, laptops, software, and peripherals both locally and remotely.
  • 3-5 years of experience replacing/installing hardware/software on PCs locally and remotely.
  • 3-5 years of experience removing viruses and spyware using various tools.
  • 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting advanced network, applications, and printing problems related to PC performance.
  • 3 years of experience mentoring junior level technicians.
  • 3-5 years of experience with various PC imaging technologies.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Microsoft PC Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Mac OS X and iOS.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL v3 Foundations certification
  • HDI Desktop Support Technician (HDI-DST) certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide desk side and phone support to local and remote team members while resolving incidents and moves, adds, changes (MACs) within identified service levels.
  • Perform troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of desktop issues related to hardware, peripherals, applications, and overall system performance.
  • Provide Level 1 Conference Room A/V support.
  • Assist Telecom/Networking Engineering with configuring and troubleshooting network equipment.
  • Generate reports and analytics related to ITSM tickets and work activity.
