Requirements

• 2-3 years prior relevant experience or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant technical experience, or equivalent training and experience.
• Basic knowledge of scientific principles and laboratory techniques.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to apply established procedures to complete a task after it is outlined.
• Ability to coordinate one's work with others.
• May be required to complete hazardous waste management training.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of established or routine technical/production tasks, processes, tests, or studies.
• Plan approaches and assume responsibility for performing and evaluating assignments once objectives are outlined.
• Provide solutions to technical problems using established techniques.
• Work with senior technicians and engineers to help devise new methods and/or procedures.
• Gather, record, analyze, and summarize data; prepare charts or graphs as needed.
• Write reports or memos on projects or results as necessary.
• Provide overall assistance to senior technicians and/or engineers.
• Work under general outlines provided by supervisor and have work reviewed periodically.
• Other duties as assigned.
