About The Position

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Contact Lens Technician to join our Eye Care team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. Position Summary: Evaluates contact lens patients. Designs and fits all types of contact lenses, supplies contact lens care and handling instructions, and provides thorough and adequate follow-up care. Maintains proper documentation of performed procedures. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Requirements

• Experience and training necessary to successfully obtain certification by National Contact Lens Examiners.
• National Contact Lens Examiners Certification.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
• Strong clinical, human relations, and motivational skills.
• Proven leadership and effective training skills also required.
• Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Slit Lamp, Lensometer, Corneal Measurement, and Contact Lens Cleaning Equipment; Visual Acuity Equipment; Telephone, POS system.
• Must also be able to utilize a PC to send and receive e-mail and attachments.
• Familiar with Microsoft & its applications.
