About The Position

STV is seeking a CAD Technician with 2+ years of experience to support transportation and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will provide CADD support for roadway and transit projects, working closely with engineers and designers to develop accurate, standards-compliant drawings and models. Position Responsibilities Develop, update, and maintain roadway and transportation design drawings and models using OpenRoads, OpenBuildings, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD. Produce plans, profiles, cross-sections, and construction documents in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards. Collaborate with civil engineers and BIM leads to translate engineering concepts into coordinated CAD/BIM deliverables. Perform QA/QC checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with state DOT, transit agency, and federal standards. Manage, organize, and maintain project files using ProjectWise or similar document management systems. Support coordination across disciplines and assist with design updates throughout various project phases (concept through construction). Required Qualifications Associate’s degree or technical certification in CAD, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. 2+ years of experience supporting civil or transportation engineering projects. Proficiency working within Bentley Open products and AutoCAD-based platforms. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers using CAD and BIM workflows, including Revit when required. Experience supporting projects for MTA, Port Authority, NJ Transit, and/or NYSDOT. Strong ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and design standards.
