About The Position

Provides and documents preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, electronic, and mechanical patient care equipment used in the treatment and diagnosis of the patients and customers of Shore Medical Center and the contracts held by Shore Medical Center.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in Bio Medical Technology; preferably in a hospital setting
• Associates or Vocational degree
• Competent in using basic hand tools.
• CBET Certification preferred
• Basic medical terminology skills with a general understanding how equipment interacts with patients, nurses and operators.
• The ability to stay on feet and walk for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates extensive experience of Bio Medical technology
• Effective in time management and organizational skills
• Works effectively, independently or with a team
• Investigates and responds to all occurrence reports involving clinical equipment
• Assists in the evaluation of Bio Medical technology tools and utilities
• Assists in the evaluation of business processes and defining client requirements
