Technician Assistant
About The Position
VCA East Anchorage is looking for a full time technician assistant to join our team. Applicants must have minimum of one year experience as a technician assistant. On the job training is available but some veterinary experience is required. Weekend availability is required. Emphasis on team approach to client service between receptionist, technical and veterinary staff. Compassionate care for all patients is a must. Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience as a technician assistant
- Some veterinary experience is required
- Weekend availability is required
- Compassionate care for all patients is a must
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients into exam rooms and collecting a brief history
- Assisting our technicians with lab sample collection, patient handling, and preparation of patient prescriptions
- Cleaning and caring for hospitalized patients
- Patient restraint for technicians and Doctors
- Some phone, client e-mails, and fax management
- Computer data entry and records management
