This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Provides tactical and technical support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing by performing activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro/mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus. We are seeking a skilled Technician in Integration & Assembly who will leverage their technical expertise and leadership to ensure safe and efficient human spaceflight. This role involves setting up production areas, operating precision tools, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support our mission of safe space exploration. Position Specific Details: B Shift: Monday - Thursday (4x12, 5pm - 5am) Location: Space Coast, FL Relocation: Available Key Responsibilities: Configure new production work areas with the necessary tooling and equipment to ensure efficient workflow and minimize any potential delays during the transition to high-rate manufacturing. Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.) and precision calibrated tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, etc.) to maintain high safety and quality standards. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity. Drive the transition from development to production, proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed. Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles to promote safety and operational efficiency. Tasks involve preparing and testing payload systems and hardware by applying materials, conducting painting, sealing, composite layup, repairs, testing, and assisting with vehicle assembly and installation. Team Focus & Domain Expertise: The GS1 Final Integration team at Blue Origin plays a pivotal role in the assembly, testing, and delivery of the integrated GS1 (New Glenn Stage 1) reusable booster. As a Final Integration Technician, you will perform installs across various systems including avionics, fluids systems, mechanical assembly, engine integration, etc. As the "last mile" for the GS1 booster, your role is critical in ensuring the booster is prepared to deliver to the Integration Facility in preparation for launch.
