Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technician experience required
Strong willingness to learn and participate in the repair process
Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment
Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Applicant must pass a physical drug screening and possess a valid driver’s license.

Graduation from a related diesel technology program

Responsibilities

Assist technicians with equipment diagnosis, repair, and maintenance
Complete the required John Deere University training modules
Learn to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems
Gain an understanding of the service department operations and how the dealer business system is utilized
Develop skills in the removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components
Perform pre-delivery set-up and inspection of new equipment as needed
Accurately document work performed and submit information in a timely manner
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow company policies, processes, and safety procedures
Assist with miscellaneous tasks as needed, serving as a utility member of the service team
