About The Position

Tessera is seeking an Alarms and Electronics Technician with a professional and positive attitude. The Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various electronic security systems. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Setting up and configuring alarm systems (fire, intrusion, access control, and surveillance cameras) in residential, commercial, and government buildings. Diagnosing and resolving malfunctions in alarm systems, including hardware, software, and networking issues Conducting routine inspections, testing components, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with safety standards. Maintaining accurate records of installations, maintenance, repairs, and service calls. Ensuring all installations and repairs adhere to industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years in fire alarm/electrical
  • Certified Alarm Technician (CAT) or Certified Fire Alarm Technician (CFAT) from the Electronic Security Association (ESA) preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act. Please visit this website for more information: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
