About The Position

Working under direct supervision of the Team Leader, selecting from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities, the Technician 2, is responsible for upgrading, and configuring computer systems and other products ordered by customers, ranging from moderate to advanced complexity levels. Requirements

  • Associate Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+ Certification and/or Network+, Server+, etc.
  • Technical aptitude with ability to absorb and apply newly learned technical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet.
  • Strong knowledge of and the ability to identify components and software used in computers.
  • Technology troubleshooting and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs moderate to marginally advanced testing, troubleshooting and repairing of defective computer systems.
  • Performs moderate to advanced configuration jobs with minimal to no assistance from Senior Technicians and Leads while following Work Instruction Documents (WIDs).
  • Ensures that hardware/software installed on customer’s system is compatible, and at the desired version level. Provides assistance and support to Technician 1 and Imaging and Installation Tech as possible.
  • Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
