The Communications Technician II supports the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of mission-critical structured cabling systems within data center environments. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to company and client safety, quality, and performance standards.

  • Ability to execute assigned project work with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Willingness towork days, nights, and weekends asrequired.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 3 to 5 years of structured cabling or telecommunications experience preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred– must obtainwithin90 daysof hire.
  • First Aid and CPR certification within90 daysof hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Fiber Optic Association certifications preferred.
  • BICSI Technicalcertificationspreferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install and decommission critical cabling and network infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
  • Exhibita high levelof Safety and Quality on all work.
  • Follow all Safety, Quality, and Production standards, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Read,comprehend, and adhere to project design drawings, specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and installation standards.
  • Demonstrate broad understanding of Structured Cabling System installation and commissioning.
  • Proactivelymaintainwork area organization and good housekeeping.
  • Organize materials, tools, and equipment, collect debris, and ensure hazardous conditions are promptly and appropriately addressed.
  • Maintain compliance with customers’ Safety, Quality, Security, and Site Access policies and requirements.
