About The Position

HII, Mission Technologies is looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of Technician 1 for their Syracuse, NY Manufacturing Operations. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. You will also support the daily activities of the production line and/or processing areas and help build long-term capability within the Manufacturing Organization.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
0-2 years related manufacturing experience.
Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, part lists, connection diagrams, schematics, engineering sketches.
Must be familiar with hand tools such as torque wrenches, wire cutters, strippers & crimpers.
Ability to work with standardized procedures for high repeatability in an advanced and connected environment.
Ability to obtain IPC-610, IPC-620, and IPC-J-STD-001 certifications.
Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction.
Ability to work both in a team and individually.
Must be a US Citizen.
May be required to obtain a DoD secret level clearance.
May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment.
Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.

Responsibilities

General mechanical assembly and installation of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies as required.
Work with other team members in assembly and integration of new and existing products.
Deliver work according to quality requirements and work instructions.
Adhere to processes and procedures to meet business and program objectives.
Analyzing and identifying opportunities for process improvements
Identify and resolve tasks independently.
Understand and apply ESD principles and safeguarding requirements.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
General use hand tools such as torque wrenches, wire cutters, strippers & crimpers.
