The Role: · Build Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) system racks · Research, procure and assemble hardware needed for the HILs · Design and build electrical test equipment (Breakout box) to support integration testing · Maintain and update all system HILs · Design and build different levels of test benches and subsystems bucks for various functional testing · Modify or rework test benches and subsystems bucks' harnesses · Build custom bench and vehicle wire harnesses · Support Test engineers in debugging electrical harness issues on system bucks and prototype vehicles · Manage inventory of parts in the lab

Requirements

  • Technical degree in electrical or electronics preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics/engineering lab
  • Automotive experience a plus
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Troubleshooting skills in EV automotive electrical systems, Ethernet, CAN, coax etc.
  • Fabrication, soldering and crimping skills
  • Knowledge of connectors and crimping tools is a plus
  • Experience working with power and hand tools
  • Able to work under pressure while multi-tasking and managing competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Able to work creatively and efficiently within a multi-disciplinary cooperative environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail and desire for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Documentation skills using MS Office tools as well as Jira and Confluence

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive experience a plus
  • Knowledge of connectors and crimping tools is a plus
