About The Position

The Technical Writer for Foundation Services at Google plays a crucial role in communicating complex information clearly and accurately to both internal and external audiences. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience creating content for technical audiences (e.g., developer documentation, Computer Science course material, or IT administration playbooks).
• Experience writing for the web with Markdown, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.

Nice To Haves

• Experience assisting non-writers with developmental and copy editing.
• Experience in researching and writing effective documentation for developers and developer operations (Dev-ops).
• Familiarity with Application Programming Interface (API) management, Cloud, Cloud/Hybrid, Multi-Cloud, or Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) technologies and practices.
• Ability to design information architecture for moderate to large content sets.

Responsibilities

• Take information and communicate it clearly, concisely, and accurately.
• Build partnerships with all of Cloud partners and stakeholders.
• Lead the user experience, information architecture, navigation, and effort to reduce fragmentation and discoverability issues.
• Communicate with Cloud customers through conceptual documentation, detailed guides, code samples, and other online materials.
• Work with engineering and product management teams to document new features.

Benefits

• Base salary range of $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
