About the position

The Technical Training Instructor at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is responsible for developing and delivering training curriculum for maintenance technicians, particularly in avionics for various Gulfstream aircraft models. This role involves conducting both classroom and practical training, ensuring technical accuracy in training materials, and maintaining expertise in Gulfstream products. The instructor will also support training initiatives across multiple facilities and promote a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom and practical training at GAC and FlightSafety facilities.
• Deliver certification training for engine/APU qualifications and Aircraft Recurrent/Refresher Training.
• Identify and verify technical accuracy of information for training course development.
• Monitor information sources for updates to training programs.
• Prepare training materials including course outlines, lesson plans, and presentations.
• Maintain technical expertise on existing Gulfstream products and new designs.
• Obtain and maintain qualifications to instruct in at least two subject areas.
• Schedule Aircraft Equipment resources for practical training.
• Update training records according to standards.
• Prepare technical data for off-site training sessions.
• Promote teamwork and a safe training environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Two to four years of experience in the aviation industry.
• One year of training experience preferred.
• Valid A&P, FCC, or Pilot license preferred.
• Instructor development training required.
• Skilled in PowerPoint, MS Word, and Lotus Notes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Strong verbal, written, and teaching skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Gulfstream G650, G500, G600, G700 aircraft.
• Ability to utilize media equipment.
• Experience in diffusing difficult classroom situations.
