The Technical Systems Engineer fosters strategic growth by championing Panduit’s solution strategy across key accounts and high-impact opportunities. Partnering with Strategic Account Managers, you’ll identify, develop, and close deals. As the go-to technical expert, you’ll provide deep technical guidance, own solution development, and bridge the gap between customers and Panduit business units. The TSE stays ahead of industry trends, strengthens technical relationships with stakeholders, and ensures seamless solution implementation.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience: 10+ years identifying and promoting professional services to augment solutions growth in distribution and direct channel. Experience with contractors, distributors, and fiber distribution infrastructure preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, whether in one-on-one discussions or large presentations.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge in fiber, power, cooling, or data center design, with the ability to master 2-5 product sets. Ability to interpret technical journals, engineering specifications, and Panduit product specifications.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to understand customer needs in fast paced environment (define problems, collect data, summarize key points, and offer solutions).
  • Travel Flexibility: Willing to travel up to 75%.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications preferred (Cisco, BICSI, RCDD/DCDC, Rockwell).

Responsibilities

  • Identify & Qualify Opportunities: Engage early with account teams to understand customer needs, requiring minimal guidance for high-revenue deals.
  • Design & Architect Solutions: Develop solutions of varying complexity, collaborating with Professional Services as needed, and supporting large, multi-region accounts.
  • Train & Educate: Keep Account Managers, Distributors, Partners, and Customers informed on product advancements through regular training and industry events.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Serve as a trusted advisor, owning technical aspects and providing expert guidance for at least five major accounts.
  • Leverage CRM: Maintain real-time updates on opportunities to align and drive account team strategy.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current on latest technologies, processes and techniques such as Remote location Infrastructure management, cable routing, LEED certification and network topologies.
  • Trade Show Support: Support national and regional trade shows with technical hands-on presentations.
