About The Position

The Technical Support Specialist at Epilog Corporation is responsible for providing moderately complex technical support and assistance to customers and distributors. This role involves addressing customer inquiries related to the company's laser engraving, cutting, and marking systems, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective troubleshooting and maintenance recommendations.

Requirements

  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems.
  • Experience in networking is a plus, but this is NOT an IT position.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with MS Office required.
  • Corel, AutoCAD, and Illustrator experience a plus.
  • 2-year technical degree or 2-4 years practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides moderately complex technical support and assistance to customers and distributors via email, phone, and/or other remote methods.
  • Addresses and responds to customer inquiries on organizational products and services, including installation, operational functions, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Provides customers with preventative maintenance and configuration recommendations to improve product usability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Documents client interaction, including details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken.
  • Learns basic operations of a laser system through company-provided training.
  • Works to attain basic skills across all products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
